This episode of Posers highlights painter Alison Van Pelt. Alison was born and raised in Los Angeles. She studied art at UCLA, Art Center, Otis Parsons and the Florence Academy of Art in Florence, Italy. Her painting subjects are generally animals and people. Alison starts by drawing and painting a portrait. She then blurs the lines into a beautiful, mystical representation of the subject.
The technique Alison uses is painstaking and often takes days to complete. To recharge during her marathon creative sessions, Alison uses yoga. Alexandra Aitken sat down with Alison and discussed her art, yoga, and more. Watch the full episode of Posers below.
